NEWS
Village Hall Garden Development
The basic foundations of the garden have now been established by committee members Dave Butcher & Les Crownshaw with the help of volunteers. They are now waiting for a few warm dry days to lay the block paving.
It won’t be long before residents will be able to play boules, skittles, chess or draughts or just sit on one of the benches enjoying the new space.
Last Autumn another committee member, Jane Crownshaw, planted 2000 bulbs in the raised beds and under the Ash tree. See how wonderful they look now.
We’ll continue with our planting schedule during the coming year, planting sustainable perennials, shrubs and herbs to give an all year round display.
We’ll be having a grand opening and afternoon tea when the garden is completed so keep checking our website or better still subscribe and we will automatically let you know the date of this and other upcoming events.

The Village Hall is totally self-funded, relying on income from the hire of the Hall, proceeds of fundraising events, ad hoc grants and donations. Additional funds are also raised by supporters using easyfundraising and the Clothing Bank.
Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising free donations for Firbeck Village Hall with easyfundraising?
We have partnered with ASTCO who have provided us with a Clothing Bank which is situated in the Village Hall Car Park.
